PDS Logistics, Inc. (PDSLI) is looking for driven sales professionals with one year’s experience in transportation or logistics sales (required) and an entrepreneurial spirit to join our third party logistics sales team. The position of Logistics Account Executive requires individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, energetic work environment. As a Logistics Account Executive, you are the single point of contact for your customers and carriers. You are responsible for prospecting your own book of business and developing carrier relationships to move your customer’s freight. Your earning potential is limited only by how hard you want to work and how much success you desire. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Arrive to work on time with an upbeat attitude, ready to make a positive contribution.

  • Make cold calls to prospect and find new customers.

  • Deliver a persuasive sales pitch to prospective customers to close the deal and earn their business.

  • Negotiate effectively with customers and carriers to maximize profit.

  • Manage your book of business from pick-up to delivery, and all points in between.

  • Proactively communicate with customers and carriers.

  • Collaborate with teammates to help achieve goals and grow the business.

  • Act with integrity in everything you do.


Candidate Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred, but not required.

  • Strong work ethic, willingness to be available 24/7/365 to service your customers.

  • Comfort working in an environment that is loud, fast-paced, with a lot of action.

  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency, but in a controlled manner to achieve objectives.

  • Self-starter who is motivated to work independently.

  • Confidence to assertively and persuasively negotiate with customers and carriers.

  • Proficient multi-tasker able to manage phones, e-mail and messaging concurrently.

  • Manage conflict and stress with composure and professionalism.
